LEO CLAUSEN DIES IN OMAHA HOSPITAL

Leo Clausen, who was taken suddenly ill the early part of last week and rushed to an Omaha hospital where in spite of all that medical science could do he passed away Friday afternoon.

Leo had been in poor health for some time but of late seemed to be improved. He had suffered severely from ulcers of the stomach which had apparently improved. He had also suffered from an accident some time back from which, however, he had recovered.

Deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jens Clausen. Mrs. Clausen has been ill for months and the shock to her is extremely hard to bear. Leo was born in Cumberland, Wisconsin, July 2nd, 1904 and with his parents came to Nebraska in 1907 and to Blair in 1911. His life with the exception of two years spent in North Dakota were spent in this vicinity.

He leaves to mourn his death besides the grief stricken parents three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Henricksen, of Fremont; Mrs. Ellen Johnson of Boulder, Colorado and Mrs. Florence Bauder, of Green Bay, Wisconsin and one brother Andrew, of Ashland.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday from the First Lutheran Church of Blair with Rev. James Lund officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

The pallbearers were all old friends of the deceased and were as follows: Ole Jensen, Charles Sylvis, Carl Bohs, Marshall Wilkins, Fred Dornacker and Leslie Thompson.
