Fort Calhoun Farmer Dies At Home Of Heart Attack Wednesday

Clifford S. Van Winkle, 42, farmer near Fort Calhoun, died yesterday morning of a heart attack at his home.

Mr. Van Winkle was born July 21, 1912 at Nebraska City and Moved to the farm near Fort Calhoun from Omaha about five years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Matilda; two daughters, Gene and Phyllis at home; two sons, Clifford, Jr, and Murl of Takomah, Wash.; his mother, Mrs. Kate Van Winkle; one sister, Mrs. Deloras Frye of Derringer, Wash.; two brothers, Leonard of Blair and Richard of Omaha.

Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian Church in Fort Calhoun Friday at 2 o’clock, the Rev. Norman Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Sievers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
