Luverne Rembold, 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep March 20, 2019 at Brookdale Senior Living in Flagstaff, AZ. Burial will be in the Blair Nebraska Cemetery.

Luverne Rembold was born July 20, 1927 at Hubbard, Nebraska to Louis and Bernice Mast Georgesen. She spent her early years and attended school in Homer Nebraska. She attended Wayne State Teachers College at Wayne, Nebraska. She returned to Homer to teach elementary school.

She met and married Harold Rembold in Homer in 1948. They moved to Blair Nebraska in 1957 with their two children. Luverne started working as Blair’s first children’s librarian in 1963 and worked until retirement 29 years later. She loved her time at the library working with the children, ordering books, planning story times and summer book week. She was also an avid reader. After retirement, she stayed active on the library board.

Luverne was a member of First Lutheran Church in Blair where she was involved in many activities. She later joined Shepherd of the Hills in Flagstaff.

Luverne moved to Flagstaff, AZ. In 2014 to be with her daughter and family. We have enjoyed five beautiful years with her. Luverne was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and most recently her great granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, one brother, two sisters, and her grandson.

She is survived by; a sister, Margie Jensen, a son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Beverly Rembold, a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Randy Pellatz, one grandchild and her husband, Abigail and Jeff Stein , one great grandchild. Madison Stein, and a sister-in-law Bonnie Georgesen. Luverne will be greatly missed by her family but will be happily reunited with her husband and family in Heaven.
