CHARLES LAMB RITES WEDNESDAY

Charles Lamb, a native of Washington County, died Saturday afternoon at his home in north Blair. He had been in failing health for about of year with stomach trouble.

Deceased was born in the Spiker vicinity, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lamb. He was educated in the schools of the county, and on June 19, 1907 he was married to Miss Belle Sutherland, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Sutherland.

To them two children were born, Everett, now in the Navy and somewhere in the Pacific, supposedly the Aleutian Islands, and a daughter, Mrs. Vera Sappenfield. These, with the wife and five grandchildren, are left to mourn his passing.

Charles Lamb wa a farmer all his life, and a man of high character, honest, straight forward, and held the respect of all who knew him.

Funeral rites were held yesterday, Wednesday, at 2:30 p.m. from the Baptist church, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Chas. Lamb Dies Saturday

CHARLES LAMB, 64, PASSED AWAY AT HIS HOME IN BLAIR

Charles Lamb, son of the late Henry P. Lamb and Addie Cushman, was born near Spiker, Nebraska, March 29, 1881, and died at his home in Blair Saturday. His mother passed away when he was two years old, and he made his home with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lamb. He attended the Rose Hill School and the Blair schools.

He was married to Miss Belle Sutherland on June 19, 1907. They lived on a farm in the Sutherland District until 1926, when the family moved to Blair.

One sister preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn besides his wife, two children, Mrs. Vera Sappenfield of Blair, and MM2c Everett Lamb, who is in the service of his country; also five grandchildren and four half brothers and half sisters.

Funeral services were held from the Baptist Church yesterday afternoon.
