Omaha. Verna Mae, Age 86 was born to Chris and Minnie (Krogh) Jensen, who both came from Denmark. The family lived on a dairy farm in Irvington from 1925 to 1984. Verna Mae attended 12 years and graduated in 1942 from Irvington School. She worked at Northwestern Bell and married Kenneth A Jessen, a milkman and real estate agent, on July 7, 1952. He always called her "his bride" and he died in November of 2005. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Howard, Wilbur (Bud) and Richard (Dick) Jensen, as well as niece Lou Ann Smith and great niece Wendy Muchmore. She is survived by her 2 sisters, Misses Mary Alice and Nancy Jensen; with whom she often stayed.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Maxine Jensen, niece Susan Mae and Ronald Muchmore. Nephews Chris and Thomas Jensen, and great niece Marci and Joe Luczynski and their daughters Monica, Haley and Elizabeth. She is also survived by sister in-law Rita Grudle of Iowa and Ken's Christensen Cousins in South Dakota, as well as Danish cousins and other cousins, friends and neighbors.

VISITATION Friday 5-7pm. FUNERAL SERVICE 10am Saturday at Roeder Mortuary 2727 N. 108th Street
