Chris Fred Frahm, 103

Chris Fred Frahm, 103, of Blair, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Chris Fred Frahm was born Jan. 23, 1897, to August and Sophie (Gutschow) Frahm in Fort Calhoun. He was the second of 11 children.

He worked as a road overseer for 11 years.

He was also a farmer and did finishing work for a contractor.

On June 3, 1925, he married Olga Anderson in Blair.

The couple was married for 71 years before her death 1996.

In 1997, he moved to Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

He is survived by four daughters and three sons-in-law, Norma Schneemeyer of Blair; Alice and Hank Penke of Omaha; Myrna and Philip Matzen of Blair; and Betty and Loyd Fetter of Sheldahl, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Edgar Frahm of Fort Calhoun; and Otto Frahm of Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents; five brothers, Hans, Fred, Gustav, Rudolph and Adolph; and three sisters, Kattie Rathjen, Helen Young and Edna Weber.

Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church, Good Shepherd Home. Or, they may be made to Memorial Community Hospital.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
