Ex-Blairite’s Mate Killed

Orrie S. Marshall, 70, Dies As Car Crashes After He Is Stricken

The husband of a one-time Blair woman died Friday after an auto mishap which occurred in Wyoming after he apparently suffered a stroke or a heart attack while driving his car along a highway.

Orris S. Marshall, about 70, whose wife is the former Bessie Cruickshank of Blair, was involved in the accident last Thursday morning. He lived until 7 p.m. Friday.

He was taking Mrs. Etta Nickerson of Red Bluff, Calif., who had been a guest at the Marshall home., to Medicine Bow, Wyo., where she planned to visit her sister, Mrs. John Burnett.

Mrs. Nickerson suffered head injuries and shock and was unable to tell what caused the accident.

Surviving Mr. Marshall, who had visited in Blair on occasion, are his widow, Bessie; two sons, Major James Marshall of the U.S. Army, stationed in Denver, and Col. Harold Marshall of the U.S. Army paratroopers, stationed in Georgia. Sherry Moore of Blair is a brother-in-law.
