Richard W. Bull, 82, of Blair, died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. A luncheon will be held at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair following military graveside services at the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. conducted by the Waterloo Lodge No. 102 AF &AM at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Richard W. Bull was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Omaha to Frederick and Kathryn (Koch) Bull. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was a 1939 graduate of Elkhorn High School.

He served in the military during World War II, and after returning home from the service, he married Verna Kruse on Aug. 30, 1946, in Benson.

Mr. Bull worked for Rolfs Trucking, Louis Masket in Benson, Matt O'Donnell Meat Market in Benson, the Elkhorn Feed Mill and then farmed in the Valley area until moving north of Blair in 1955. He farmed there until 1967, then worked for Kelly Ryan, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Grange, Blair Eagles, was a life member of the Blair V.F.W., Herman American Legion, and the Waterloo Masonic Lodge No. 102 AF & AM.

He is survived by Verna, the love of his life and partner for 58 years; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and John Bourne of Omaha; son, Keith Bull and friend, Andrea Madsen of Blair; son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Veida Bull of Black Canyon City, Ariz., five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; sister, Adelyne Backhuus, brother and sister-in-law, Frederick and Rogene Bull; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Bull and Teresa Kruse; brother-in-law and spouse, Mylan and Corrine Kruse, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth R., Bull, in Vietnam on April 17, 1969.

Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Research Association.

Preceded in death by parents , and son, Keith R. Bull, in Vietnam on 4/16/1969.

SERVICES Sat. 10:30 am, First Lutheran Church in Blair. A luncheon will be held at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, 2005 Davis, following Military Graveside Services at the Blair Cemetery. VISITATION will begin 9 am Friday, with a Masonic Service at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home, conducted by the Waterloo Lodge #102 AF and AM. Memorials to First Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer’s Research Association.
