Four- Generation group Is Broken

Mrs. Adelaide White, 89 Former Blairite, Succumbs In Omaha

A four-generation group which for three years has lived in the same house, 2218 Burt street, Omaha, was broken up Tuesday with the death of Mrs. Adelaide Ely White, 89, former Blairite. Since moving to Omaha a year ago, Mrs. White had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Jessie Dixon. Mrs. Dixon’s daughter, Mrs. Ray Grawet, and Mrs. Grawet’s four children also have lived there.

Mrs. White was the widow of Charles White, a Civil war veteran who homesteaded near Blair. After many years of residence here and near Kennard, she moved to Bennington, then to Omaha.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Dixon; two sons, Arthur White of Bennington and Lester White of Omaha; 15 grandchildren and 18 grandchildren. Ray Dixon of Kennard is a grandson.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Blair Church of God, burial following in Blair cemetery. Fitch, McEachron & Cole mortuary of Omaha is in charge.
