DIED at Kennard, June 17, Mrs. C. J. Hawley, mother of Mrs. Dr. Pruner. Been sick three weeks.

Two sons, D. B. Hawley and C. C. Hawley with a grandson Master Aubrey, son of C. C. arrived from Virginia in time to be present at their mother’s death bed. Mrs. Hawley has made her home for some time with her daughter, Mrs. Pruner. The funeral will be held tomorrow.

Grandma Hawley is still sinking very fast. Her two sons were telegraphed for and arrived Monday on the three o’clock train. They came from Virginia. Rev. A. D. Finch came in on the 4:40 train to be with Grandma Hawley in her dying hours.

Another article

Dr. W. H. Pruner, of Kennard, called this A.M. in company with his brothers-in-law, D. B. and C. C. Hawley, of Christianberg, Va., who were summoned by their mother’s last sickness. Also Master Aubey, son of C. C. Hawley accompanied them. They will return to Virginia soon after the funeral.
