Mrs. Herman Jacob, a resident of Blair and Washington County for many years, died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair early Tuesday. She was 81 years old.

Mrs. Jacob was born September 25, 1880 in Washington County. She was the former Mary Margaret Uterman. She was married to Herman H. Jacob and for many years the couple farmed west of Blair.

A number of years ago they retired and moved to their present home at 1717 Grant street in Blair.

Mrs. Jacob is survived by her husband and by two sons, Lloyd of Kennard and Clarence of Blair. There are also four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A brother, Henry Uterman, of Kennard, also survives.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 P.M. at the Kennard Lutheran church with the Rev. Harold Laursen officiating. The Bendorf Funeral Home will be in charge of the services and burial will be made in the Kennard cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leslie Rosenbaum, Bert Hansen, Albert Plugge, Walter Plugge, Harold L. Jensen and Charles R. French.
