Was Father Of Ralph Longwell Of Blair

Funeral rites were held in Tekamah Aug. 14 for John Henry Longwell, 90, father of Ralph Longwell of Blair and long a resident of Burt County. He died at his home in Craig Aug. 11, having spent most of his life in that vicinity.

Mr. Longwell was born at ?ayton, Ia., Oct. 9, 1865, shortly after he end of the Civil War and came to Burt County as a child. He and Edith Osborn were married in 1892 and had six children. She died in 1906, and in 1914 he was married to Mrs. Clara Seymour.

Surviving are his wife, Clara; two sons, Jesse of Thermapolis, Wyo., and Ralph of Blair; and three daughters, Mrs. Mabel ?ssell and Mrs. Edith Potter of Tekamah and Mrs. Elsie McClan?an of Omaha; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Ethel McCain of Tekamah, Mrs. Ted Mundeger of ?nd, Ore., and Mrs. Don Holl?y of Hooper; and one stepson, ?y Seymour of Decatur. There were 31 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren.
