Services for Arthur L. White, 62, of Bennington, were held at the Hadan Mortuary there Tuesday at 2 p.m. Burial followed in Blair cemetery.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Verdie; a son, Gilbert White of Bennington; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Nelson and Mrs. Johns of Bennington and Mrs. Harlan Dierking of Chambers, Nebr.; a brother, Lester White of Omaha, and a sister, Mrs. Emery Dixon of Omaha.

ARTHUR WHITE SUCCUMBS AFTER LONG ILLNESS

The following received this week bears the news of the death of Arthur White of Bennington. Deceased was born and reared in Washington county on the bottom north of Blair on Nov. 10, 1883. After the death of his father he continued to farm the home place for a number of years.

On September 16, 1908 he was married to Birdie Mae Williams and they moved to Bennington where he went into business. Four children were born to them, Mrs. Kenneth Nelson, Mrs. Russell Johns, Mrs. Harlan Dierking and Gilbert A. White all of Bennington.

He is survived by his widow and the children already mentioned, seven grandchildren, one brother, Charles Lester White and one sister, Mrs. Emery Dixon, both of Omaha.

Funeral services were conducted in the Bennington Mortuary, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

The immediate cause of his death was the result of a stroke in March of 1945 from which he never recovered and death came October 5, 1946.
