Pilot Tribune 4 Dec 1952 Mrs. Wegman Dies at 38 Former Mary Elizabeth Pruner Dies In Iowa Of Heart Attack Funeral services for 38 year old Mrs. Edwin Wegman the former Mary Elizabeth Pruner, will be held in Blair Friday the Campbell Mortuary announced that the body of Mrs. Wegman , a heart attack victim Monday, will arrive in Blair this evening. The funeral is to be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Francis G. Havill officiating. Burial will be in Kennard Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mertie Newkirk, Bill Newkirk, Gifford Dixon, Jr., Bud Robinson, C. J. Robinson and Lyle Skov. Mrs. Wegman was the wife of a ? of Anamosa, Ia., and her sudden death occurred just before the family was to have moved into a new home. Mrs. Wegman, born in Omaha, attended Central High School in Omaha and Stephen College, Columbia, Mo. Mrs. Wegmans grandfather was the late Dr. Will Pruner, Sr., of Kennard. Her father-in-law is a former Iowa Secretary of State. Surviving Mrs. Wegman are her husband; a son, Billy, age 14; and an adopted dauther, Barbara age 5. Other survivors include her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Pruner of Omaha, who is head of the loan department of the National Co. of Omaha, and a brother, Bill Pruner of Riverside Calif. The latter flew here to attend the funeral. Ed Newkirk of Spiker is an uncle of Mrs. Wegman. ~~~ Obituary courtesy of the Washington County Genealogical Society.
