Thelma Jean Pace, age 86 of Omaha, died Friday, April 5, 2019 in Omaha. She was born June 27, 1932 in Omaha to Willie "Bill" and Myrtie (Cooper) Rasmussen. On May 12, 1951, Jean married Roy Pace in Herman, Nebr.; they were happily married for 50 years. She worked for many years as a Nutrition Service Manager for the Omaha Public Schools.

Jean is survived by her children, Jeaniel (Bruce) Barrett of Millis, Mass., Theresa (Bob) LaChapelle of Omaha, Brad (Sue) Pace of Omaha; grandchildren, Benjamin (Katherine) Barrett of Walpole, Mass., Jessica (Kristen) Barrett of Cranston, R.I., Megan LaChapelle of Omaha, Tamra LaChapelle of Omaha, Kyle LaChapelle of Medford, Ore., Maggie (Tyler) Nicholson of Omaha; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Keith Rasmussen of Wisner. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A private service was held at Herman Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Nebraska Kidney Association or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Nebraska Cremation Society was in charge of the arrangements. Sympathy cards may be sent in care of The Nebraska Cremation Society.
