BEDNAR'S BROTHER IS DEAD IN OMAHA
John Bednar, 49, a brother of Stanley Bednar of Blair, died in Omaha Monday. The funeral was held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in South Omaha yesterday.
Note: According to his WWII draft registration in the National Archives, he was born October 23, 1906 in Omaha; his middle name was Stanley; on Oct. 16, 1940, when he walked into the draft office, this brown-haired, blue-eyed young man was working at PF Peterson Baking Company in Omaha, and was married to Frances Julie Bednar. The clerk noted that John was 5'8", had a ruddy complexion, and weighed 138 lbs.
