Funeral services were held Monday, November 1, at Arlington Community Church for Mrs. Carrie C. Utermann, 97, of Arlington, who died October 29, 1982, in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County.

The Rev. Warren Jensen conducted the services. Burial was in the Kennard Cemetery.

Carrie C. Utermann was born March 3, 1885, in Washington, Nebraska. She married Henry Utermann March 30, 1904.

She and her husband farmed in the Washington area. They lived in Kennard for 13 years and moved to Arlington in 1967. They also lived 13 years in Pierce County and four years in Fremont.

She was a member of the Mehodist Church in Kennard and the Arlington Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband on July 9, 1974.

She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Howard (Helena) Jensen, Mrs. Albert (Wilma) Plugge and Mrs. Roy (Mildred) Butterfield, all of Arlington; Mrs. Walter (Dorothy) Plugge of Blair; Mrs. Walter (Carrie) Rosenbaum of Kennard and Mrs. Leo (Verna) Helmsing of Foristell, Missouri. Sixteen grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren also survive her.

Memorials are suggested for the church or the Arlington Rescue Squad.
