Mrs. Obedience Blevins, 81 years of age, died at her home southeast of Arlington on Sunday morning following a lingering illness.

The deceased widow of Jas. Blevins was one of the early pioneers of this vicinity and spent the greater portion of her life near here. Mrs. Blevins was born in Virginia and came here when a young woman, she and Mr. Blevins then making their home on the Bisbee farm north of Blair. They also lived east of Arlington and at one time lived in Arlington for several years. Mrs. Blevins has been making her home with her sons southwest of Kennard.

Funeral services were held at the Kennard M.E. church on Tuesday afternoon. She is survived by two sons, Luther and William, and a daughter, Miss Lizzie, all living at home; also a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Wilkinson of North Platte.
