PETER J. SIERT

Peter J. Siert, fifty-five years of age, died at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Anna Siert of West Washington Street.

Deceased was a native of Blair, his parents being among the early settlers here. He received his education in Blair and after his marriage to Miss Myrtle Day he engaged in the baking business, owning bakeries in several different places.

Besides the wife and two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Clower of California and Mrs. Cathleen Swager of Grand Island survive, also four brothers, Frank, Paul and Fred of Blair and Chris of Fort Calhoun and two sisters, Kate and Margaret at home with the mother grieve deeply over his death.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Campbell Mortuary and interment will be made in the Blair Cemetery

FORMER IOWA BAKER DIES AT MOTHER'S HOME HERE; RITES FRIDAY

Peter J. Siert, 55, native and former resident of Blair, died early yesterday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Anna Siert, 611 west Washington street, after an illness of half a year. Resident of Iowa for many years, Mr. Siert had been at his mother's home here the past three months.

For more than 30 year a baker, Mr. Siert had spent most of that time at George, Iowa, and Akron, Iowa. He had also been in business at Walthill, Nebraska. In recent years the family had lived at Akron.

Mr. Siert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Siert, was born in Blair May 14, 1884. He was married here in June, 1908, to Miss Myrtle Day, and they resided in Blair the first several years of their marriage.

Surviving Mr. Siert are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Bernard Klauer of Hollister, California, and Mrs. Charles Schwager of Grand island; his mother, Mrs. Anna Siert, of Blair; two sisters; Kate and Margaret, at home here; four brothers, Frank, Paul, Chris and Fred Siert, all of Blair; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Siert's mother has been critically ill at her home for some time, and does not know of her son's death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Campbell's mortuary, the Rev. Arthur F. Mitchell of St. Mary's Episcopal church officiating. Relatives will be pallbearers, and burial will be in Blair Cemetery.
