JONAS BLOMBERG PASSES TUESDAY

Jonas Blomberg, a farmer in this county for the past fifty years, died at his home north of Blair on Tuesday of this week after a long illness.

Deceased was born in Sweden on February 22, 1863, and was thus past seventy-seven years of age at his death.

He came to America when twenty years of age and settled in Clay Center, Kansas, where he lived for six years before coming to Nebraska where he found employment as a foreman on a 1200 acre ranch near where he later made his home. He was married just before coming to this county.

Mrs. Blomberg died in 1939 and the children surviving are Edna and Lloyd at home; Mrs. Andrew Svendgaard of Blair; E. R. Blomberg of Oakland, California; Mrs. Stewart Brown of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. L. G. Haller of Omaha.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Methodist Church in Blair with Rev. Rasmussen officiating and under the auspices of the Bendorf Funeral director and interment will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
