| Funeral services were held Monday, March 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield, Nebraska, for Esther Frahm who died at a Yankton, South Dakota, hospital where she had been hospitalized one day. Burial was in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
Esther Jacob Frahm was born at Bloomfield, Nebraska, on May 6, 1909, to Max and Martha Jacob. She married Walter Frahm on February 23, 1926.
They came to Fort Calhoun and for 14 years they farmed in the Fort Calhoun and Herman areas. They moved back to Knox County and farmed until about 15 years ago when they moved into Bloomfield.
Walter died on May 16, 1969. After his death, Esther worked at the Good Samaritan Home.
One son, Martin, who died in infancy, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by four daughters, Shirley (Mrs. Delbert) Koertje of Bloomfield; Joan (Mrs. Martin) Claussen, Norfolk; Sharon (Mrs. David) Peters, Bloomfield; and Connie (Mrs. Loren) Nichols, Bloomfield. Fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise (Mrs. William) Peck of Herman; and one brother, Arnold Jacob of Bloomfield, also survive her.
