Funeral Services For Fred Frahm Last Saturday

Funeral services were held last Saturday, June 12th for Fred Frahm, a native of Washington County, and for many years a farmer here. He died at Dixon, Nebraska, Thursday, June 10th.

The deceased was born at Fort Calhoun September 30, 1910, and was 66 years of age at his death. He had lived and farmed in Washington County until 1966 when he and his family moved to the Alder Grove area near Craig, Nebr. A short time later they moved to Dixon, Nebraska, which was his home until his death.

The survivors include his widow, Harriet Hansen Frahm, a sons, Jerry Dean of Eagle Bend, Minn., and two daughters, Dr. Rita Riley of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Jim (Carla) Shelby of Sedro Woolley, Washington. There are ten grandchildren.

Four brothers survive. They are Chris and Rudolph, both of Blair; Otto of Fremont and Edgar of Ft. Calhoun.

There are three sisters. They are Mrs. Kathryn Rathjen of Ft. Calhoun; Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Young, of Omaha, and Mrs. Lawrence (Edna) Weber, of Mead, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, a grandson and by two brothers, Gus and Hans Frahm.

Funeral services were held in the United Methodist Church at Dixon with the Rev. William B. Anderson conducting the service. Interment was made in the Herman Cemetery at Herman, Nebraska.

The family and friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward McKain in Blair following the services. Mrs. Frahm is a sister of Mrs. McKain.

Services were held Saturday afternoon, June 12, for a former area resident, Fred Frahm of Dixon, Nebraska.

Officiating at the rite, which was held at the United Methodist Church of Dixon, was the Rev. William B. Anderson.

Ladies of the church provided music and his neighbors in the Dixon area served as pallbearers.

Burial was at the Herman cemetery.

Fred Randall Frahm was born September 30, 1910 at Fort Calhoun to August and Sophia (Gutschow) Frahm.

Frahm farmed in Washington and Burt counties, and lived in the Alder Grove area for several years. In 1966 he and his family moved to a farm near Dixon.

Survivors include his widow, Harriet (Hansen) Frahm; one son, Jerry Dean of Eagle Bend, Minn.; two daughters, Dr. Rita Riley of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Jim (Carla) Selby of Sedro Woolley, Wash., and ten grandchildren.
