MRS. JOHN BLACO DIES AT KENNARD

The community was saddened Wednesday morning when word reached Blair of the death of Mrs. John Blaco who had passed away at her home in Kennard that morning following an illness extending over a period of several weeks.

Mattie Jane Robertson was born May 6, 1864, near Hardinsburg, Ky., and was a daughter of William and Mary Robertson, early pioneers of Nebraska, coming here with her parents in early childhood. She was married to John Blaco on January 13, 1887, and leaves her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Peterson, and three grandchildren. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Chas. Cunningham of Kennard, Mrs. Alice Menking of Elsie, Nebr., and Mrs. Jessie Tallman of Fremont and two brothers, George Robertson of Kennard and Will Robertson of Elsie, besides a number of relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 o’clock Sunday afternoon from the Methodist church at Kennard, with Rev. George and Rev. Smith in charge.

Mrs. John Blaco died at her home in Kennard at 5 o’clock this morning following an illness of some weeks. The funeral service will be held next Sunday at 1 o’clock, Rev. E. C. George and Rev. Smith officiating. Mattie Jane Robertson was born May 6th, 1864, near Hardingsburg, Ky., coming to this state when she was but a small girl, so practically her entire life has been spent here. She was a daughter of William and Mary Robertson, pioneer settlers in this part of the state. She was married to John Blaco on January 13th, 1887, and leaves, besides her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Petersen and her three children. Also three sisters, Mrs. Chas. Cunningham of Kennard, Mrs. Aloce Menking of Elsie, Neb., and Mrs. Alice Menking of Fremont. And two brothers, George of Kennard and Will of Elsie, besides a host of friends who will mourn her passing at the early age of 61. The bereaved husband and family have the sincere sympathy of all who knew them.
