Hunteman, Alice D.

Funeral services were Friday, November 13, in Redeemer Lutheran Church for Alice D. Hunteman, 77, of Hooper, who died November 8, 1981, in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County after a brief illness.

Rev. Curtis Bensen conducted the services. Burial was in the Hooper Cemetery.

Alice D. Hunteman was born February 17, 1904, in rural Scribner. As a young girl, she moved to Hooper and lived there until she married. She farmed near Hooper with her family and moved back into Hooper in 1970.

She married George Hunteman on February 24, 1925, at Council Bluffs, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1975.

She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church at Hooper and a church organization called the Willing Workers. She was a past president of Lutheran Church Women and the Hooper American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters, Georgean Cunningham, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Loren (Joanne) Knoell of Arlington, and Mrs. Laverne (Carol) Oerman of Nickerson. Two sisters, Carolyn Havekost of Hooper, and Mrs. Charlotte Dau of Fremont; six grandchildren and three great-granddaughters also survive her.

Memorials may be given to Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Wayne Funeral Home at Hooper is in charge of arrangements for the services.
