SERVICES HELD FOR 71 YEAR OLD CLARKSON HUSK

Services were held Wednesday, January 4th, for 71 year old Clarkson Husk of Rt. 1, Blair. Mr. Husk passed away on Monday, January 2nd, at the Blair Hospital.

Services were held at the Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Patterson officiating. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Husk had been a farmer all his life. He is survived by his wife, Viva, and two children. The children are Lyle Husk, Herman, and Mrs. Willis (Marlene) Lucht of Blair. There are also three grandchildren.

There are three surviving brothers. They are: Harry Husk, Arlington; Donald Husk, Hooper; and Eugene Husk, Herman.

Pallbearers were Otto Matzen, Raymond Ruwe, Donald Olson, George Isham, Gordon Husk and Gale Husk.

Music was provided by Mrs. Gale Husk and Keith Hightree.

CLARKSON HUSK DIES IN BLAIR JANUARY 2ND

Clarkson Wilbur Husk was born October 19, 1906 on a farm north of Blair. His parent were Charles and Jennie Cook Husk. He attended Pleasant View Grade School and graduated from Blair High School.

Clarkson, also known by his nickname of “Shark”, was united to Viva E. McCowan in marriage on March 11, 1931. To them, two children were born, Lyle Clarkson o Herman, and Marlene Joyce (Mrs. Willis Lucht) of Blair.

Clarkson and Viva have enjoyed farming as their lifetime occupation. Death came on January 2, 1978 at the Blair Hospital following a very short illness. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Burr, Lloyd, and Wallace.

He is survived by his wife, Viva, son Lyle and daughter Marlene and three grandsons, Gordon and Gale Husk and Scot A. Lucht. There are also three brothers, Harry of Kennard, Donald of Hooper and Eugene of Herman.
