Mark Lothrop died at the Lothrop home, next door to the L.D.S. Chapel, last night of typhoid fever, having been sick about three weeks. The funeral will be held at the chapel at 2 o'clock today, Elder H. S. Lytle officiating. Mark was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lothrop, and was born April 15th 1882, near this city. He served six years in the U. S. Army, two years of which was spent in the Philippines. Besides his father and mother he leaves four brothers, Claire, Ashley, Grant and Norman, and one sister, Mrs. J. W. Harden, of Napier, Tenn. He was a quiet hard working young man of good habits and bore a good reputation, which fact will always be a comfort to his parents, brothers and sister and friends.

Mark Lothrop, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lothrop, died last Wednesday at four o'clock a.m. aged 30 years, after a short illness, culminating in a severe case of typhoid fever. Deceased was in the military service at the time of his death and for the past eight years and came home on a leave of absence to visit his parents and brothers. He was a musician, attached to a military band doing service in the Philippines for two years and was stationed in the state of Washington for a number of years and at the military post in San Antonio, Texas.

The funeral services were held at the Latter Day Saints' church yesterday (Thursday) at two o'clock P.M. and burial in the Blair cemetery.
