Thomas H. Blanton died very suddenly at the some of his son, Harry, who lives on West Nebraska Street, at 7 o’clock Monday morning. He came up from Omaha last Friday and when he arrived, he complained of a severe headache. He grew worse during the night and on Saturday the doctor was called and pronounced it a virulent case of pleural pneumonia. He grew steadily worse, death ensuing early Monday morning. The funeral was held at the house yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock, Rev. G. W. Stansbury officiating. He was born in Indianapolis, Ind., October 24th, 1855, and after his marriage lived in Iowa most of the time. Seven children survive him, three of whom were present at the funeral, Harry, Clarence, and Mrs. Ralph Stewart, of Crescent, Iowa.
