Mrs. Will Sas received word Monday of the sudden death from heart failure of W. R. Williams at his home in Los Angeles, Calif., and his remains were buried at Pasadena on Monday. Mrs. Williams is a sister of Mrs. Sas. Besides the widow he leaves three children, a sister and two brothers. He was born in Wisconsin and was around 56 years of age. He came to Blair in the early 90’s and taught for a time. Later he was associated with his brother on the Pilot, and following the writer’s purchase of the Pilot he started and ran The Tribune for a time. Still later he and L. A. got into the insurance game and were in Omaha for a time, going to California in the same line of business. He was mayor of Blair for a term and figured in some heavy political battles in Blair in the old days.
