ARLINGTON

Funeral services were held at the Congregational Church on Thursday for Glenn Johnson.

Glenn Leonardas Johnson was born Nov. 8, 1888 at Salina, Kansas, and was graduated from Tabor College in Iowa in 1911.

On the 19th day of Oct., 1912 he was married to Herma Gail Marshall of this place. He entered the drug business and was located at Bruno Minnesota, but was forced to give up this on account of his poor hearing.

In 1915 he moved his family to Sunny Hill Farm east of town where he lived until his death.

He was chairman of the athletic committee of the County Fair, and was a booster for the Arlington team with which he was associated.

He was a member of the Congregational church, also a member of the Masonic Order.

Glenn was held in high esteem by all who knew him, his sunny disposition made friends for him wherever he went.

Besides his wife, three children survive him, also his father and stepmother, two brothers, Thane of Pittsburg and Claire of New York, a sister, Emera of Washington D. C.

The funeral service was conducted by Rev. W. F. Rangler of Fremont.

A double quartette consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brokaw, Mr. and Mrs. John Shull, Mrs. Alvin Anderson, Mrs. Fred DeWeber, Earl Miller and Fred Pfeiffer, assisted by Helen Warren at the piano sang “Sone Day We’ll Understand.”

Hugh Rangler of Fremont sang a baritone solo “Face to Face.”

Interment was made in the Arlington cemetery, the Masonic Lodge in charge.
