| Karen Frances (Pflug) Marshall died on Thursday, December 8, 1998 in a car accident outside of Kearney on I80. Karen was 58 years old. Burial of her ashes took place off the banks of her beloved Bell Creek in Arlington, Nebraska where she used to play growing up.
Karen was born on Tuesday, Febr. 13, 1940 in Valley, Nebraska to Kenneth George William Pflug and Iris Mae Pflug (Johnson). Karen has two siblings, Bonnie Lee Oldham of Hooper, Nebraska and Kent Pflug of Des Moines, Iowa.
Survivors are one daughter, Loretta Steiner, and two sons, Robert Marshall of Palmdale, California and Kirk Marshall of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Karen was a member of the Arlington Community Church where she led the children's choir. Karen moved to Aurora where she managed the Vets Club. Later, Karen moved to Kearney and managed the Kearney Livestock Cafe, enjoyed calling at the Kearney Bingo Hall and worked at Londer's Auction in Kearney until the year of her death.
