DIES IN ALABAMA HOME

Former Blair Blacksmith Dies in New Home After Illness

A telegram received by R. Blomquist early Saturday morning brought news of the passing away of C. A. Hoff at Silverhill, Alabama, where the family had moved fifteen or twenty years ago after a long residence in this city.

The telegram gave no particulars, but Mr. Blomquist had previously received a letter from his sister, Mrs. Hoff, stating that Mr. Hoff had been quite ill and had been taken to a hospital. At that time, his illness was not considered of a serious nature. Mr. Blomquist left Saturday noon to attend the funeral.

The Hoffs will be remembered by the older people of this vicinity, Mr. Hoff having operated the blacksmith shop, now conducted by Molgard Jensen, for a great many years, and the family had a host of friends here. Mr. Hoff was about 65 years old.
