Klindt, Catherine (Arp) 10/7/1925 7 Oct., 1925 - The Pilot Mrs. Peter Klindt passed away at 7:30 this morning at her home in Ft. Calhoun at the advanced age of 94 years, having been born in Kiel, Germany, July 4th, 1831. She had been an invalid for the past two years, but was taken seriously ill two weeks ago. The funeral will be held at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at the house, Rev. Luther Kurtz officiating. Burial will be in the Ft. Calhoun cemetery by the side of her husband, the late Peter Klindt, whose death occurred just ten years ago. She came to this country with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gorris Arp, in 1864, and settled first in Iowa, coming to Ft. Calhoun the following year. She was united in marriage to Peter Klindt in August, 1866, and they made their home on a farm near Ft. Calhoun up to 14 years ago. Three children were born to them, Emma died at the age of 4, Henry Gorris at the age of 23, Miss Dora being the only survivor to the family ~~~Obituary courtesy of the Nebraska Washington County Genealogical Society.
