Paul Sorensen died at the Danish Lutheran Home at Brush, Colo, last Thursday, December 24th, and the body was brought here to his old home for the funeral services, which were held at the Danish Lutheran church at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon Rev H. Nelsen officiating. Burial was in the Kennard cemetery by the side of his wife, who passed away in 1915, and a daughter, Mrs. Emma Hansen, who died in 1911. Deceased was born in Denmark in 1853, so was in his 71st year. He was married there to Ann Maria Hansen in 1878 and shortly thereafter, in 1883, they came to this country, settling on a farm out in the Orum neighborhood. After the death of his wife his health began to fail and he moved to this city. Two years ago he was sent to the Danish Lutheran Home. He is survived by three children: H. C. Sorensen, of Kennard, J. P. Sorensen and Mrs. Robert Widener, of Blair. He also leaves one brother, P. C. Sorensen of Kennard.
