Emma E. Gottsch, daughter of Peter and Sally Gottsch, was born in Washington county, Nebraska July 1, 1876. On October 30, 1895 she was united in marriage with Mr. E. C. Schneider. To this union were born six children. Her death occurred at Kearney, Neb., November 5, 1925, aged 49 years, 4 months and 4 days. she is survived by her husband and five children, Peter Schneider of Irvington, Nebraska, Mrs. Geo. Bench of Ft. Calhoun, Henry Schneider of Omaha and Marie and Eva at home. One son Gustave, died June 27, 1918. Her parents and the following brothers and sisters survive - Will Gottsch of Blair, Andrew of Enid, Oklahoma, Henry, Frank and Marcus of Dakota, Oklahoma, Mrs. Henry Flint of California and Mrs. Gustave Wilt of Tacoma, Oklahoma. Five grandchildren also survive with a large circle of friends and acquaintances to mourn her early going. The funeral was held at the First Baptist church on Monday afternoon, November 9th, in charge of the Rev. Arthur D. Smalley. Interment was in the German cemetery south of Blair.
