WILLIAM BONINE

William Bonine was born March 30th, 1849 in Keokuk Co, Iowa, and passed away at his home in Blair, Nebraska Saturday, Sept. 27, 1930, aged 81 years, 5 months and 27 days.

On July 3rd, 1882 he was united in marriage to Margaret Tremaine at Council Bluffs, Iowa, and together they moved to Blair, Nebraska where they have made their residence for over forty years.

For years Mr. Bonine worked at the blacksmith’s trade, later taking up carpenter work as his vocation, and he will be remembered by his many friends and neighbors as a hard working, home loving man who won the respect of all who knew him.

Mr. Bonine is survived by his wife and their adopted son, Culver, besides the other relatives directly and indirectly connected with the family, to whom the hearts of their many friends turn in this sad hour of their bereavement.

Funeral services were conducted from the home in the south part of town Monday, Sept. 29th by Rev. W. Byron Pardon, pastor of the Methodist church, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Hancock, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

WILLIAM BONINE DIES SATURDAY

HAD BEEN BLAIR RESIDENT SINCE SUMMER OF 1882

William Bonine died suddenly at his home at 6:00 p.m. last Saturday following an attack of heart trouble. The deceased was born March 30, 1849 in Keokuk county, Iowa, and grew to manhood in that county. On July 3, 1882, he was united in marriage to Margaret Tremaine at Council Bluffs, Iowa, and they had removed to Blair where they had since made their home. For many years the deceased followed the blacksmithing trade, later taking up carpentry as his covation. He was very industrious and kept busy at all times despite his advanced age.

Surviving him are his bereaved wife and an adopted son, Culver Buchanan, besides other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted from the home on east Grant street Monday with Rev. W. Byron Pardun, pastor of the Methodist church, assisted by Rev. E.J. Hancock, officiating, after which interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
