MOTHER OF BLAIR WOMAN PASSES

Mrs. Clara Thomas, mother of Mrs. J. A. Hillman and Mrs. Floyd Wilbur of this city, passed away last Saturday morning at the age of sixty nine years after an illness of four years.

Clara McBride was born in Council Bluffs and was married to John Thomas April 17, 1881 at Logan, Iowa. She lived in Modale, Iowa for many years where her husband died about seven years ago.

She is survived by eight children, five sons and three daughters.

Mrs. Thomas came to Blair about twenty months ago to be near her two daughters who did all that could be done to comfort her in her last illness.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church at Modale, Iowa, Rev. Colson officiating.

The deceased was a member of the Eastern Star at Modale and of the Presbyterian church at Council Bluffs.

Burial was made at Magnolia, Iowa. There were many floral tributes testifying to the respect and esteem of many old friends and neighbors.
