MRS. SOPHIE ANDERSON

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 13 for Mrs. Sophie Anderson from the First Lutheran church, Rev. H. Nielsen, pastor of the church, officiating.

Mrs. Sophie Anderson, nee Guldberg, was born in Kornerup, Denmark Sept. 11, 1845, and died peacefully at her home in Blair May 11th, 1930 at the age of 84 years and 8 months.

In 1868, at the age of 23, she immigrated to America, coming directly to Cedar Falls,Iowa, where she was married to James Anderson.

In the year of 1876, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson moved to Webster county, Nebraska where they homesteaded and lived until they moved to Blair in 1896, settling on a farm four miles northwest of Blair. In 1903 Mr. and Mrs. Anderson moved into her present home in Blair where she lived until her death.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1922, also four children who died in childhood.

Surviving her are three sons, Guldberg Anderson, Ove Anderson and Theodore Anderson; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, all of Blair, Neb.
