MRS. W. E. FARNHAM PASSES

Funeral services were held Sunday for Mrs. W. E. Farnham, an old and highly respected resident of Blair and vicinity, from the home of her son, Chas. T. Farnham. Burial was made in the local cemetery.

Catherine Elizabeth Atkinson was born in Stafford, N. Y., May 29, 1835, and had she lived until today, would have attained the ripe old age of 95 years.

On October 29, 1862 she was married to William E. Farnham in Pittsfield, Mass., who preceded her in death June 22, 1925.

Her early life was spent in Massachusetts, coming to Nebraska in 1886.

Mr, and Mrs. Farnham resided on a farm on the Bench for a number of years and then moved to town where they spent the remainder of their lives.

Until the last few years, the deceased has been an active worker in the Woman’s Auxiliary of St. Mary’s Episcopal church, for several years having served this branch as its president.

During the World War, at the age of eighty two, she gave continued service to the Red Cross, and in recognition of this service she was given a medal by the Washington County Branch.

Mrs. Farnham is survived by her son, Charles Truman and a granddaughter, Catherine Ruth.
