JAMES M. JUSTICE

James Monroe Justice passed away at his home in DeSoto township Monday morning at 10:30. He had not felt well for a couple of days but had been up and about the house, and when the end came suddenly he was sitting in his chair.

Deceased was born in Henry county, Indiana and with his parents came to this county in 1867, settling in DeSoto township. After the death of his mother, which occurred over twenty years ago, he and his brother, Charles, continued to live on in the old home, keeping “batch”.

The Justice boys were never lonesome as their kindly, genial dispositions drew many friends to them and their latch string was always on the outside for these friends who came for miles around to visit them. Never marrying, the two brothers have lived their lives together contented and happy with the neighborly feeling of their acquaintances, and the sudden death is a shock to the neighborhood.

The funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the M. E. church and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Deceased leaves two brothers, Charles and Linnie Justice and three sisters, Mrs. Freeman Tucker of Blair, Mrs. Emma Garmatz of Lacygne, Kansas and Sarah Jane Boucher of Canton, Oklahoma.
