Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Fredericka Wilkening, who passed away Wednesday evening at the home of her son, H. P. Wilkening, who lives between Arlington and Fontanelle. She had reached the advanced age of 85 years and had been failing in health for some time. She is survived by four children, two sons and two daughters, all living in the community and a brother, Peter Bentrup, who lives in Fremont. On Thursday morning while Mr. and Mrs. Bentrup were on their way by auto out to the Wilkening home, called there by the death of Mrs. Wilkening, they had a collision with another car driven by Dale Milliken at an intersection north of Fremont on a country road, and Mrs. Bentrup was thrown from the car, fracturing three ribs. A cornfield near the road was responsible for the accident as the view was obstructed.
