Word has been received by old friends here of the death of Mrs. Kate Byerly of Youngstown, Penn. on Dec. 6. Mrs. Byerly was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rice Arnold, early day residents of Blair, and resided here with her parents before her marriage. She attended the city schools and was more or less interested in the social life of the community when a young woman. Her husband, Geo. Byerly, passed away a number of years ago. Mrs. Byerly has been back to her native town a coulee of times since her marriage. she leaves several children. One of her daughters, in writing to friends here, states that her mother suffered two strokes of paralysis about Thanksgiving time, resulting in her death on Dec. 6.
