LEWIS WALTER BURNS FUNERAL THURSDAY

Funeral services will be held Friday morning, May 28th at 8:00 for Lewis Walter Burns, a resident of the Blair apartments on east Nebraska Street. He had been a resident of this area since 1958.

The deceased was born May 27, 1922 at Pukwana, South Dakota and lived in that area until moving to Washington County in 1958. He was a farm worker and for some time was employed by Merle Newkirk of west of Blair as a farm hand. He had been in failing health for the past 14 months. He died at the University Hospital in Omaha Tuesday afternoon of this week.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia and by six brothers and three sisters. None of them live in this area.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 8:00 a.m. at the Bendorf Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Atherton conducting the service. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
