Paddy Regan Burns, 42, of Omaha died Tuesday, July 8, 1997 in Omaha.

Graveside services were held Friday at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Rev. James Schwertley officiated.

Burns was born March 4, 1955 in Omaha to Robert and Muriel (Hobday) Burns. In 1969, he and his family moved to Fort Calhoun, where he attended school. He joined the U.S. Army in 1972 and served four years, part of that time in Korea. After leaving the service, he was employed in the construction trade. On April 25, 1983, he married Linda Conklin in Dallas, Tex.

Since the onset of his illness, he was unable to work, but volunteered his time at the Omaha Food Bank.

Survivors are his wife, Linda; a son, Brian; daughter, Stacie; his father, Bob Burns; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Jean of Omaha; Tim and Annett of Lincoln and Kevin of Fort Calhoun; one sister, Dixie Humphrey of Fort Calhoun and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Muriel and one brother, Bob.
