Word was received here some time ago by relatives and friends of the death of Henry Bushan of Canton, Okla. Mr. Bushan, when a small boy, came to DeSoto with his father in the pioneer days of 1858 and settled on what is now known as the Richard Johnson place. Twenty or more years ago he sold out and moved with his family to Canton, Okla., where he resided until the time of his death. His faithful wife, although advanced in years and in failing health, was with him constantly for over a year until the end came. The older generation will remember Mr. Bushan as a pleasant jolly man and one to visit the sick and help them along with a word of encouragement and good cheer where ever he went.
