Luanne Sorensen,57, of Blair died Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard with burial in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home beginning at 1 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Luanne Wulf was born July 8, 1954, in Omaha to Eggert and Olga (Petersen) Wulf. She graduated from Blair High School, and then attended Bahner Beauty School in Fremont. She worked for Charm Inn Beauty Shop and for the last 36 years for Crowell Home; she also worked at MACC for three years.

On June 20, 1973, she married Richard L. Sorensen at Vermillion, S.D.

Mrs. Sorensen was very active in the American Red Cross.

She is survived by her husband Richard, son and daughter-in-law, Corey and Kalli, of Blair; daughter, Kaylene Nelson of Fort Calhoun; five grandchildren, Andrew Wacker, Conner Sorensen, Alina, Abigail and Emma Nelson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ervin and Barbara Wulf of Fremont, Vernon and Lynn Wulf of Blair; and uncle, Earl Wulf.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
