OBITUARY

Perry D. Henderson, father of Mrs. J. M. Erwin of this city, passed away Wednesday, November 6 at the Erwin home, aged 67 years, 5 months.

Deceased leaves five children to mourn his death as follows: Mrs. Bessie Chain of Oakwood, Okla; Mrs. Mamie Chain of Haven, Kansas; Mrs. J. M. Erwin, Blair; Adlai Henderson, Los Angeles, California, and George Henderson of South America.

The funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 8 at the Campbell undertaking parlors with Rev. L. J. Moran officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Perry D. Henderson died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. M. Erwin last Wednesday following an illness of several months’ duration. The deceased was born in Indiana May 24, 1862, and for about twenty years he lived in Oklahoma where he homesteaded a tract of land. He was married to Georgia Rounds at Saginaw City, Mich., and to this union six children were born. His wife and a son preceded him in death. His health began to fail some time ago, and last July he came to Blair to make his home with his daughter. Funeral services were held from the J. E. Campbell parlors last Friday afternoon with the Rev. L. J. Moran officiating, after which burial was made in the Blair cemetery. Surviving him are three daughters, Mrs. J. M. Erwin of this city, Mrs. Mamie Chain of Haven, Kansas and Mrs. Bessie Chain of Oakwood, Oklahoma; and two sons, George Henderson of South America and Adlai Henderson of Los Angeles, Calif.
