Sam W. Fraley Services Wednesday

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Sam W. Fraley, aged 60, who died suddenly last Sunday. His death followed several years of failing health.

Services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home with the Rev. Gail B. Dunning of the first Christian Church conducting the services. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Samuel William Fraley, son of Frank and Rena Fraley, was born in Blair, Nebraska, on July 21, 1900 and passed away at his home in Blair October 9, 1960.

Sam, as he was known by everyone, attended school in Blair and was employed in and around Blair most of his adult life. For a number of years he was associated in the restaurant business, his most recent employment being with Kelly Ryan Equipment Company.

On July 2, 1938, he was united in marriage to Helen Mehrens at Fremont Nebraska.

About seven years ago, Sam contracted arthritis. He also was a diabetic and these ailments, coupled with a coronary thrombosis, brought about his death.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Helen; two brothers Pat of Nashville, Tennessee, and Roy of Anaheim, California, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Kohimeier of Seattle, Washington.

Serving as pallbearers were Bert Faltys, Robert W. Petersen, LeRoy Creach, Robert Carmichael, Harry Tucker and John E. Anderson.
