MARY JENSEN LEUENBERGER

Mary Christina Jensen was born April 2, 1885 at Omaha, Nebraska. When a year old she came with her parents to live at Blair where she grew to womanhood.

She was married February 10, 1910 to Emil Leuenberger, and they made their home in Omaha. To this union two daughters were born, Emily and Dorothy.

She was baptized in the Danish Lutheran faith. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Her health failed a year ago, and a month ago she was taken to a hospital where death released her at 1:00 p.m. February 24, 1930, her age being 44 years, 10 months, 22 days.

There remain to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her husband, Emil Leuenberger, two daughters, Emily and Dorothy, three sisters, Mrs. Jens C. Petersen, Mrs. Hans M. Andersen, Mrs. Alice McAvoy and four brothers, James, Louis, John and Fred Jensen, all of Blair, with other relatives and friends.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 26, 1930 at the Blair Methodist church, the Rev. Carl Bader officiating. Music was furnished by Miss Leila Wright, Mrs. E. J. Hancock, and Miss Gertrude Mead. Interment was made at the Blair cemetery.
