ATTEND FUNERAL AT CASPER, WYOMING

Wm. J. Rodgers, Sr. and Wm., Jr. were called Saturday, September 28 to Midwest, Wyoming in response to a telegram stating that Kenneth R. McKibben, a son-in-law, the husband of Helen Rodgers McKibben, was seriously ill. He passed away Saturday evening.

The trip was a sad one for Mr. Rogers and the stay was lengthened to last Friday, the funeral being held Wednesday of last week at Casper, Wyoming under the auspices of the I.O.O.F. lodge of which the deceased was a member.

Mr. and Mrs. McKibben were married about six years ago, and later went to Wyoming where he was employed by the Midwest Oil Co., which is said to control the richest oil field in the world. Two children, a girl four years and a boy, two years of age, came to bless this union and they, with the mother, mourn deeply the loss of the devoted husband and father.

The little family will be in Blair some time this week, and will make their home with the Wm. Rodgers family.

While in Casper, Mr. Rodgers took occasion to call of some old Blair friends who are located there, among them being Mrs. Bessie Cruickshank Marshall, where he spent a night and the next morning, enjoyed an antelope breakfast that being the open season in that state on antelope.

They started home on Thursday, driving as far as Berthoud, Colorado, where they went in company with Mrs. Ida Edmonton, another daughter, who lives at that place. On Friday morning at eight o’clock they started from Berthoud for Blair, arriving home at 2 a.m. Saturday, having driven a distance of 638 miles.
