Late Monday afternoon, November 11th Reisin McBeth, a respected resident of this village, died very suddenly at his home of apoplexy. Mr. McBeth came here to make his home about 6 years ago, buying property just north of the city park, where, with his wife, he has since resided. Mr. McBeth was born in Davis county, Iowa December 1st, 1855 and in 1870 he came with his parents to Bancroft, Nebr. where the family homesteaded. He farmed for a number of years, coming to Arlington when he retired. He was a member of the Congregational church, and funeral services were held Thursday morning at the house, conducted by Rev. Grassmuck, assisted by Rev. R. C. Swisher. The funeral party leaving at 10:30 for Bancroft where burial took place. Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother, Henry McBeth of Rosalie, Neb., and two sisters, Mrs. I. F. DeJena of Akron, Colo., and Mrs. Dan Gehring of Ottawa, Ia. Mrs. McBeth’s friends and neighbors extend their sympathy.
